Since our first print issue in 2015, we’ve profiled some of the most exciting voices in music: Clipse, SZA, Dave, Kali Uchis, Playboi Carti, Larry June, Navy Blue, Jorja Smith, Kehlani, Thundercat, Vince Staples, Dev Hynes, and many more.

Now, we’re bringing BRICK’s voice online — and directly to you.

We’ll be using this space to:

• Share stories from the archives — including profiles from print issues that are now long sold out.

• Publish original online features between issues.

• Share playlists curated by some of our favourite artists, via our Record & Tape Exchange series.

We like the immediacy of Substack. The intimacy, too. You won’t need to hunt around a website — our work will just show up, right where you are.

We believe music discovery should be inclusive. So most of what we publish here — including Record & Tape Exchange — won’t sit behind a paywall.
